First of all, let's talk about the characteristics of geotextile. Geotextile is a kind of chemical fiber product. Other raw materials include polypropylene, polyester, polyamine, etc. from the perspective of product types, it can be divided into two categories: textile and non textile. The so-called textile is that the polymer obtains the fiber, and then spins it into thread, and weaves it into regular fabric on the loom. The so-called non-woven fabric is directly made of synthetic fibers by needling, thermal and chemical bonding without textile process. As the raw material of geotextile is polypropylene and other chemical fiber products, it has the advantages of strong chemical resistance, high melting point, high strength and so on. However, the cost of non-woven fabric is lower than that of woven fabric, the process is simple, the yield is high, and its tensile strength has no significant direction. Therefore, non-woven fabric is the most widely used geotextile in the world.

Then, precautions for Geotextile Construction:

1. First of all, the road surface should be cleaned so that there are no sundries on the road surface. It is better to clean it with clear water. For the cracks larger than 0.6cm, the repair materials can be asphalt concrete or asphalt sand or cement mixed soil according to different conditions.

2. The hot asphalt distributor can be used to spray the tack coat oil on the road surface. The amount of oil can be determined by the oil absorption rate of the road surface. The general amount of oil is between 0.9-1.2kg/m2, and the oil grade is generally more than 60 asphalt.

3. When laying the geotextile, it is necessary to ensure a certain height of the coiled material on the ground. When the non-woven geotextile is stretched flat, it will be bonded with the adhesive layer oil, brushed with a brush and rolled with a steel roller.

4. After the fabric is fully combined with the tack coat oil, no crushed stone chips are sprinkled on it. Generally, melon seed chips or medium coarse sand are used for no crushed stone chips. The amount of crushed stone chips depends on the oil spilling on the fabric surface, generally around 2m3 / km2.

5. When laying a large area of geotextile, the lateral lap of the cloth can be fixed with a fixer according to the specific situation.

At the same time, the geotextile should be kept dry. If it is drenched by rain, it needs to be completely dried before laying. When laying geotextiles, construction workers shall not smoke. When the asphalt used for bonding the geotextile is cooled, the upper layer shall be made again. When the geotextile is saturated and the thermal calendar is not cooled, do not drive on it. Do not turn around or brake on the paved geotextile.
