Geotextile has excellent filtering, drainage, isolation, reinforcement and protection functions, with light weight, high tensile strength, good permeability, high temperature resistance, freezing resistance, aging resistance and corrosion resistance. The application of geosynthetics originated in the 1950s. At present, geosynthetics have been widely used in many fields.

There are three series of geotextiles:

1、Needled non-woven geotextile, with the specification of 100g / m2-600g / m2, can be selected at will. The main raw material is polyester staple fiber or polypropylene staple fiber, which is made by needling method. Its main uses are: slope protection of river, sea, lake and river levees, sea reclamation, wharf, ship lock flood prevention and rescue, etc. it is an effective way to achieve soil and water conservation and prevent piping through back filtration.

2、Needle punched non-woven fabric and PE film composite geotextile, specifications include one cloth one film, two cloth one film, the maximum width is 4.2m, the main raw material is to use polyester staple fiber needle punched non-woven fabric, PE film is made by composite, the main purpose is anti-seepage, applicable to railway, highway, tunnel, subway, airport and other projects.

3、Nonwoven and spinning composite geotextile, the variety of nonwoven and polypropylene filament woven composite, nonwoven and plastic woven composite, suitable for foundation reinforcement, adjustment of permeability coefficient of infrastructure.

Geotextile can only be cut with geotextile knife. If it is cut in the site, special protection measures shall be taken for other materials to prevent unnecessary damage caused by cutting geotextile; while laying geotextile, all necessary measures shall be taken to prevent damage to the next layer of material; When laying the geotextile, care must be taken not to let the stone, a large amount of dust or water and other substances that may damage the geotextile, block the drainage channel or filter screen, or cause difficulties to the next connection enter the geotextile or geotextile; After installation, visual inspection shall be carried out on all geotextile surfaces to determine all damaged owners, mark and repair, and make sure that there is no foreign matter such as broken needle on the paved surface that can cause damage. During construction, the sand or clay with smaller material diameter shall be used to level the foundation surface first, and then the geomembrane shall be laid. The geomembrane shall not be too tight, and the part buried in the soil at both ends shall be corrugated. Finally, a layer of transition layer of about 10cm shall be paved with fine sand or clay on the paved geomembrane. Build 20-30cm block stone (or concrete precast block) as the anti scour protection layer. During construction, try to avoid the stone directly hitting on the geomembrane. It is better to pave the geomembrane while constructing the protective layer. The connection between the composite geomembrane and the surrounding structures shall be anchored by expansion bolts and steel plates, and the connection part shall be coated with emulsified asphalt (2mm thick) for bonding to prevent leakage.
