There are three differences between geotextile (also called geomembrane) and non-woven fabric:

1、The application of the two is different:

1. Application of geotextile: it can be widely used in railway, highway, sports hall, dam, hydraulic construction, Suidong, coastal beach, reclamation, environmental protection and other projects.

2. Application of non-woven fabric: it is applicable to agricultural film, shoemaking, leather making, mattress, quilt, decoration, chemical industry, printing, automobile, building materials, furniture and other industries, as well as clothing interlining, disposable surgical clothing for medical and health care, masks, hats, bed sheets, disposable table cloth for hotels, beauty, sauna and even the fashionable gift bags, boutique bags, shopping bags, advertising bags and so on.

2、different characteristics:

1. Characteristics of geotextile: it is a kind of polymer chemical flexible material with small proportion, strong extensibility, high adaptability to deformation, corrosion resistance, low temperature resistance and good frost resistance.

2. Characteristics of non-woven fabric: it has the advantages of short process flow, fast production rate, high output, low cost, wide use and many sources of raw materials. It does not produce fiber chips, is strong, durable and silky soft. It is also a kind of reinforcement material, and has the feeling of cotton. Compared with cotton fabrics, non-woven bags are easy to form and cheap.

3、The materials of the two are different:

1. Material of geotextile: the geomembrane is a composite of plastic film and non-woven fabric as the base material of seepage control.

2. Nonwoven material: oriented or random fiber material.
